WooCommerce’s native bulk-edit controls do not provide catalog-wide editing for product variations. The Products › All Products screen changes prices only for simple and external products, while the bulk actions in a variable product’s Variations tab apply the same operation to that product’s variations. Different prices or stock levels across multiple products therefore require individual edits or an import workflow.
WP All Export and WP All Import provide a spreadsheet-based alternative. An export can include each variation as a separate row, alongside its ID, parent product ID, SKU, attributes and editable fields such as regular price, sale price and stock. The parent ID helps group variations in the file; the variation ID is the key used to match rows to existing records during re-import.
That matching step is essential: leaving IDs unchanged lets WP All Import update variations rather than create duplicates. Its Choose which data to update settings also allow the import to be limited to selected fields, reducing the risk of overwriting unrelated product data. For example, a CSV can change one variation’s regular price, another’s sale price and a third’s stock quantity, while leaving other values untouched. A spot-check in WooCommerce after the import helps confirm the results.
