A guided conversational FAQ built in CrocoBuilder replaces a conventional WordPress accordion with a chat-style interface, without relying on an AI model or API tokens. Its questions and answers are predefined, making the interaction a presentation layer for existing content rather than a generative service.
Two questions appear at a time, with a dynamic paginator for browsing the rest. Selecting a question places it in the chat field; after the user presses Send, a brief “thinking” state precedes the stored answer. Answered questions disappear from the options, the conversation history can scroll independently of the fixed input, and a reset restores the full question set. Once all questions are used, a limit state can direct visitors to a contact page, booking flow or WhatsApp.
Disabling free typing avoids implying that the component can understand arbitrary queries. The visible prompt asks users to select a question, aligning the interface’s affordances with its actual capabilities. The build also reflects a more controlled WordPress workflow: design reference, design system, atomic component, CrocoBuilder, quality assurance and reuse. Markdown project files and NotebookLM provide shared technical context across separate AI-assisted component tasks, supporting a reusable library without relying on one long conversation.
